In 2004, Cai, an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, obtained Hatha I certification from the INTEGRAL YOGA INSTITUTE (IYI) in NYC and Level One KUNDALINI YOGA from Golden Bridge Yoga NYC in 2009.  As of August 2013, she completed the INTEGRAL YOGA Advanced teacher training in Yogaville, VA and is now a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).  She has been studying and practicing Yoga avidly for 2 decades.  As a firm believer in the Mind-Body-Spirit practice of Yoga, she is passionate about learning and sharing these ancient teachings with heartfelt gratitude, and will continue to do so--as a life-long journey.  The following include the various styles of Yoga she has practiced and/or studied: Ashtanga, Bikram, Iyengar, Jivamukti, Anusara, Kundalini, Structural Yoga with Mukunda Stiles, and Sivananda Yoga.  Her other certifications include: Laughter Yoga, Journey Dance, Hypnosis, Reflexology, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

She has had the privilege of teaching Yoga at IYI NYC, Yoga Dimensions of Newtown, CT; Yoga Space in Brookfield, CT; and Naugatuck Valley Community College Waterbury, CT. In addition, Cai is a Nurse Educator at UNC-CH and has a private practice in Raleigh, NC.  As a healthcare professional, with over 20 years of healthcare experience, during which one decade has been in academia, she brings Yoga into healthcare settings to patients, fellow nurses, and nursing students.  Currently, she is planning and creating Yoga workshops and retreats for women.
